Ice hockey teams usually consist of four lines of three forwards, three pairs of defensemen, and two goaltenders. Rock climbing is an activity in which participants climb up, down or across natural rock formations or artificial rock walls. The goal is to reach the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a usually pre defined route without falling. To successfully complete a climb, one must return to the base of the route safely. Due to the length and extended endurance required, accidents are more likely to happen on descent than ascent, especially on the larger multiple pitches. Rock climbing competitions have the objectives of either completing the route in the quickest possible time or attaining the farthest point on an increasingly difficult route. Scrambling, another activity involving the scaling of hills and similar formations, is similar to rock climbing. However, rock climbing is generally differentiated by its sustained use of hands to support the climber's weight as well as to provide balance.

A luge is a small one or two person sled on which one sleds supine and feet first. Racing sleds weigh 21 to 25 kilograms for singles and 25 to 30 kilograms for doubles. Luge is also the name of an olympic sport. Lugers can reach speeds of 140 km per hour. Manuel P fister of Austria, reached a top speed of 154 km per hour on the track in Whistler, Canada prior to the 2010 Vancouver winter olympics. Lugers compete against a timer and are timed to a thousandth of a second, making luge one of the most precisely timed sports in the world. The first recorded use of the term luge is 1905, from the Savoy or Swiss dialect of french luge meaning small coasting sled, and is possibly from a Gaulish word with the same root as english sled.
A kite is an aircraft consisting of one or more wings tethered to an anchor system. Frequently a wing of a kite is referenced as kite. The necessary lift that sustains the kite in flight is generated when air flows above the kite's surface, producing low pressure above and high pressure below the wings. The interaction with the wind also generates horizontal drag along the direction of the wind. The resultant force vector from the lift and drag force components is opposed by the tension of one or more of the lines or tethers to which the kite is attached. The anchor point of the kite line may be static or moving.
