The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy is a 1991 Platform video game developed by Taito for the Nintendo Entertainment System based on The Flintstones TV series. Taito later released another Flintstones game for the NES titled The Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak. The gameplay is preceded by a short movie which sets the stage. A man from the 30th century named Dr. Butler kidnaps Dino and Hoppy, the two pets that belong to Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, and their respective families.

The Flintstones is a platform video game based on The Flintstones TV series. At the start of each level friends give Fred a certain task to find something. Most often, you need to beat bosses to obtain these items. Levels in the game are closed locations with increasing levels of complexity, made using two-dimensional graphics side scrolling. They present a variety of enemies, traps and obstacles. At the end of most levels will meet with your boss. Depending on the difficulty level the player is given four to six levels. You can use Fred's club to fend off enemies, and to break the containers with useful objects and dinosaur eggs. If you break an egg you will get a dino to ride on. With the Dino you can make high jumps and destroy enemies. Enemies in the game include a variety of monsters. In some levels they are quite numerous, but they have a small supply of health. When Fred is riding a pterodactyl, in place of the slain enemy remains a useful item. Bosses appear on all levels except the third. For each boss there is a certain tactic that is to be used. Useful objects found on conventional and on the bonus levels. Basically they replenish health or increase its usable amount. Also quite common stars with the image of Fred, which gives a certain amount of extra life and little stars are influence points. Sometimes we come across a rare bonus which is the so called power up. Wilma's image will give you temporary invulnerability.
